Questions and answers:
How can I participate?
You have to register with GRADE.I'm not in the life sciences. Do you still recommend this course for me ?
It only depends of your knowledge of statistics. In the course you will learn basic statistical methods and tests which can be applied in all sciences. If you are already familiar with statistics then this course can be a good repetition. Can you recommend a book which fits the course ?
There's no "best book", so you should look in different ones. For the beginning I would recommend a book which avoids using too much formulas and focuses on explaining the statistical methods and the ideas behind them. For example:"Statistics for terrified biologists" (Helmut van Emden)
"Statistik: Der Weg zur Datenanalyse" (Fahrmeir, Künstler, Pigeot, Tutz)
